The Details
Deer Park Heights offers self-drive access to 800 hectares of farmland.
See animals, stroll walkways and enjoy the 360* views of the Whakatipu basin.
Please note that when you book, it asks for your vehicle type and rego number. If you do not have this, please put in RENTAL instead.
If you need to cancel your booking or change your date, you need to cancel your ticket and request a refund. Log back in yourself before the end of the day on the date you are visiting. Re-book when suits.
If you do not cancel before this time, we are unable to offer a refund.
ADMISSION
Admission is $55 per private vehicle under 8 seats. Your booking allows one entry and one exit. Campervans and 2WD are allowed.
We are open from 8.00 am – 6.00 pm every day.
Limited activity
No commercial activity is allowed, including tours, photography, videography, weddings etc. Violators will be wheel-clamped, fined and trespassed. Agents are not permitted to book on behalf of guests, guests will be refused entry at the gate. CCTV and surveillance in use.
ENTRANCE GATE
Once you book, you will receive an access code via SMS and email to enter at the toll gate upon arrival and exit.
FEEDING ANIMALS
You must bring a $2 NZ coin to feed the animals. Please throw the food near the animals. DO NOT ATTEMPT to feed animals from your vehicle, you will risk getting your car scratched.

If you do not know your vehicle number plate, please put’ RENTAL’ when booking.
When feeding the animals, ensure you exit and walk away from the vehicle so you do not risk getting your car scratched.
You must obey all instructions and signs.
